From the time I was 17 years old, I was drawn to vintage items. Growing up in NJ, we had a huge flea market not too far away. For those of you that might know of it, it was called "Englishtown Auction." There were at least 5 buildings filled with row after row of antique, junk and food. Outside there were acres and acres of tables where sellers were displaying their wares.
I remember one of the very first items I bought was a Zither! You may ask, what is a zither? It is a stringed musical instrument. I still don't know that much about it. Having been taught the violin, I was drawn to it being a stringed instrument. I was also drawn to the beautiful wood and ivory inlay.
From there I remember buying a long fur coat. Yes, that was back in my hippie days. But it's what was popular to my kind of friends and plus it was warm!
Now, many years later, I am still buying vintage items. I see the value in something that has a history to it. Sometime not always value, not it definitely has years on it. Many things I like to collect; you know they say that if you have 3 or more of something, that is a collection! Display them together!
I am going to keep it short now, because I want to share some of my items with you.
Please feel free to share what you like to collect!
Happy vintage hunting!
I have so much more I would like to share with you, but I feel I am off to a good start!
Everything you see here, I am willing to sell. The top artwork, I have 2 more like it by the same artist.
I have 2 of the vintage bird prints.
Thanks for looking!
